Preparatory Task 1- History of Music Videos

Firstly, I researched the history of dance music videos; I plotted information such as when key broadcasting services were formed, when the highest grossing dance music videos were released and when the most influential music videos were released on a timeline.

I found that there was a period after the introduction of the concept of music videos where there were not popular; this was up until the early 60's. After this, they accompanied nearly every song and became an essential part of the music industry. The most influential videos were released mostly in the 80's, which is not surprising due to the changing music tastes and exploration of different music genres.
