For this task, I researched how is media theory used in 2 media products and how these make the text appealing to an intended audience. The two products I analysed were the two versions of the music video for Martin Garrix's Don't Look Down.
I found that, in most dance videos, women are objectified or make to look weak- confirming Van
Zoonen's theory. It was interesting that Martin Garrix chose to create a different version of the music video as they conflict with each other on how they portray the genders.
